At a young age, Stacie started sewing for 4-H projects and even won purple prize at the MN State Fair! She has always been interested in art, drawing, painting, design, and ceramics. She earned her Bachelors of Art degree in art, with an emphasis on ceramics, from the University of Minnesota in 2005. During art school, she acquired her great grandmothers Pfaff sewing machine and discovered it sewed leather. After graduation, in between her day job and being at the clay studio, she was always sewing; making purses from reclaimed leather and attempting and failing to sew clothes. She decided to go back to school and was drawn to MCTC's Apparel Technical Design program for their hands on approach. In Fall 2013, Stacie won a scholarship for her look shown at Sol Inspiration's Eco Friendly Fashion Show. She is looking forward to a rewarding career as a designer. "I am excited for my tour of Europe this summer - it's sure to inspire future collections."
This line is dedicated to the residents of Minnesota. We've endured a long winter and now it is time for birth and rebirth. Flora and fauna are the inspiration, as well as classic silhouettes of the 40's and 50's . Exaggerated fullness in the skirt, oversized floral prints and avant-garde head pieces paint a picture of a lush verdant garden!
